An Update, from Rob & Jane

Dear Valued Customers,

On Thursday, November 21, starting at noon, we’ll be temporarily shutting the p!ng pod down for the winter. The pod isn’t winterized (i.e., there’s no insulation) and the cold temps have started to affect some of the equipment. Unlike the newly minted peppermint mocha, exploding pipes aren't on the menu.

 

Never fear! There’s no getting away from us. We’ll be very busy this winter:

  1. Completing the Android app. For those of you wondering why it’s taking longer, we’re developing native apps that support the backend functions of our automation. Thank you so much to our Android customers for your patience. When we start to test it, you’ll be the first to know and all drinks will be free to Android users during our two-week beta test.

  2. Completely automating (and winterizing) the pod. As you may know, Rob and I continue to be in the pod for maintenance, customer service, and for functions that aren’t fully automated yet. This has allowed us to get to know a lot of you! We are thankful for the feedback we’ve gotten. But we know a lot of you would also like regular extended hours which a fully automated pod will offer.

  3. Developing a more complete menu. A lot of your feedback (all of which we read and internalize) has been to offer more – more modifications, low-cal or zero-cal options, and so on.

  4. Developing ways for you to modify drinks as much as you desire. Down to the milliliter.

  5. Looking for a permanent home in Lowell or in a neighboring town. We are grateful to Rhino Capital for taking a chance on an upstart start-up and giving us the opportunity to lease this spot. The last 3 months of running the pod has taught us so many lessons. The building has been sold to new owners so it’s on to new pastures!

Our goal is to get everything done by Summer 2025. Rest assured, we're anxious to get back out and serve more coffee!

 

We’ve said it before and we’ll shout it from the rooftops – we have the absolute BEST customers. Everyone’s feedback has been helpful and constructive- we don't know many brands that can say this. Your words of support have bolstered us. Our future Android customers have gently prodded us to hurry up. We've self-funded everything we’ve built so far and it was completely worth it. You helped us make this a reality and we’re energized to keep building and make it THE BEST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE which has been always our goal from day one.
